Cyclone IOWA standard gal barbed wire is best suited to fire prone areas as the soft wire is less likely to be affected by the intense heat caused by a grass or bush fire, and is traditionally used in dry arid areas where corrosion resistance is not as important.

Cyclone standard gal Iowa barbed wire is commonly used for cattle because of the larger 2.50mm wire used, and it also requires less tension than the high tensile barbed wires.

Cyclone IOWA barbed wire is made from 2.50mm soft tensile standard gal wire, and is wound onto a timber spool for ease of handling in 400m lengths.
